Does SAP Cloud ERP Fit Your Business?

SAP Cloud ERP, also known as SAP S/4HANA Cloud, is particularly well-suited for mid-sized companies looking to move to a standardized, future-proof ERP platform – without lengthy custom development projects. This solution fits your company if you recognize yourself in the following points:

  • 01

You're Growing – or Want to Grow

Your company has 100 to 1000 employees and you need an ERP system that keeps pace with your requirements.

  • 02

You're Starting Fresh or Replacing a Legacy System

You don't have a comprehensive ERP in place yet – or your existing system is reaching its limits.

  • 03

You Focus on Standards Rather Than Custom Solutions

You want to benefit from proven best practices instead of managing complex individual projects.

  • 04

You Want Transparency in Costs and Timeline

You expect clear parameters from an ERP project – without unpleasant surprises.

What SAP Cloud ERP Brings to Your Business

SAP Cloud ERP was developed for companies that value predictability and scalability: standardized enough for rapid implementation, flexible enough for your growth.

  • Asset 2@2x-1

    Transparency:

All data in one place – available in real-time for everyone who works with it. Whether inventory levels, production status, or financial metrics: you see what's happening.

  • Asset 20@2x

    Efficiency:

Pre-configured best practices ensure your departments work together seamlessly. Fewer media breaks, less manual coordination, more productivity.

  • Asset 25@2x

    Scalability:

Your company is growing? SAP Cloud ERP grows with you. New locations or additional users can be flexibly added – without a new project.

  • Asset 26@2x

    Predictable Costs:

The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model makes your IT costs calculable: you pay per user per month, without high upfront investments. Maintenance, security updates, and compliance requirements are included in operations.

  • Asset 10@2x

    Future-Proofing:

With the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), you can expand when needed – for example with AI functions or industry-specific applications. Step by step, when it makes sense for you.

  • Asset 15@2x

    Integrated AI with Joule:

Artificial intelligence is already integrated into SAP Cloud ERP – at no additional cost. The AI assistant Joule provides direct support in Finance, Procurement, Production, and Sales: answering questions, analyzing data, identifying deviations, and suggesting next steps. Fewer routine tasks, more time for what matters.

Developed for Your Industry's Requirements

Chemicals, cosmetics, and food & beverage place specific demands on an ERP system: batch traceability, recipe management, hazardous materials management, and compliance. PART knows these requirements not from textbooks, but from over 30 years of projects with companies such as Kluthe, Gremmler, and Dr. Sthamer. As a long-standing SAP partner, we guide process industry companies from the first conversation through to go-live and beyond.

Fast product cycles and high quality standards require flexible, transparent workflows. SAP Cloud ERP creates the foundation for efficient production and compliance.

Six Steps to SAP Cloud ERP

An SAP Cloud ERP implementation (S/4HANA) does not have to be a mammoth project. With our structured approach, you know from the outset what happens when – and what it costs. Projects start from €92,000 in implementation costs depending on scope (plus licensing costs). Typical project timelines range from 4 to 9 months.

  • Phase 1:

    Discover – Look & Feel

Digital process analysis during the Digital Discovery Assessment (DDA). We jointly design best practices for your processes – as the foundation for your decision.

  • Phase 4:

    Realize – Implementation & Testing

Implementation and configuration of defined business processes. Conducting User Acceptance Tests, planning the Go-Live phase, and preparing support handover.

  • Phase 2:

    Prepare – System Provisioning

Kick-off and Getting Started: We plan and prepare system access. As part of the Fit-to-Standard analysis, we conduct the Business Driven Configuration Questionnaires (BDCQ) process questionnaire.

  • Phase 5:

    Deploy – Go Live

Project completion and productive start. Your system goes into live operation, we accompany the transition to the Run phase and hand over to support.

  • Phase 3:

    Explore – Fit-to-Standard

Integration and test planning, analysis and preparation of master data, definition of business processes. Here we also plan the connection of additional third-party systems via the Business Technology Platform (BTP).

  • Phase 6:

    Run – Release & Updates

We're there for you even after Go-Live: support, maintenance, and planning of the optimization and expansion phase.

Frequently asked questions about SAP Cloud ERP (S/4HANA)

Does SAP Cloud ERP actually fit a company of our size?

SAP Cloud ERP (based on S/4HANA Public Cloud) is not the right choice for everyone – and we say that deliberately. The solution is a good fit for companies with at least 15 ERP users, an annual budget starting at around €60,000, and the willingness to work with proven standard processes rather than highly customized solutions. In our experience, the preconfigured processes cover 80 to 90 percent of the requirements of mid-sized companies – for the rest, there are targeted extension options via the SAP Business Technology Platform. If you are unsure whether your company is the right fit: that is precisely what we clarify in an initial conversation.

What does an SAP Cloud ERP implementation cost?

The costs depend on scope. A finance-focused project – accounting, financial close, credit management – starts at €92,000 in implementation costs at PART. When manufacturing is added (production, supply chain, quality management), costs start from €249,000. Licensing costs start from €5,175 per month. We determine the exact requirements together in a Digital Discovery Assessment – a structured process in which we work through your requirements step by step. Only after that is a binding offer provided.

Does PART specialize in specific industries?

Yes, PART has been focused on the process industry for over 30 years, with a core emphasis on chemicals, cosmetics, and food & beverage. This means we know the specific requirements of these industries from practical experience – from batch traceability and recipe management to hazardous materials management and quality assurance. Our clients include companies such as Kluthe, Gremmler, and Dr. Sthamer.

What is the difference between SAP Cloud ERP Public Cloud and Private Cloud?

SAP Cloud ERP runs as a Public Cloud, meaning all customers share the same platform, updates are applied automatically, and operations are managed by SAP. Implementation is faster and more predictable, as it builds on preconfigured best practices. Customizations are possible, but through the SAP Business Technology Platform – not by modifying the core. The Private Cloud offers more flexibility for individualization, but is more complex and costly to operate. PART focuses on the Public Cloud because it is the better choice for most mid-sized companies in the process industry.

How long does an SAP Cloud ERP implementation take?

Project duration depends on scope. A finance-focused project typically runs 4 to 6 months; a project with a manufacturing scope runs 6 to 9 months. Before the actual project begins, there is a Digital Discovery Assessment – around 20 hours, spread across several sessions. In the DDA, we work through your requirements together, define the scope, and lay the foundation for a binding offer. From Phase 2 (Prepare) onwards, project implementation begins.

How do I recognize a good SAP implementation partner?

The honest answer: ask about industry experience, not company size. A large consultancy has many projects, but not necessarily experience with the specific requirements of the process industry. At PART, you have dedicated contacts who know batch traceability, recipe management, and quality assurance from years of project practice. No rotating consultant teams, no learning about your industry at your expense. Beyond that, SAP partner status is a reliable quality indicator.
